Are your materials/fabrics sustainably sourced?

We love the outdoors as much as you do. So, we work hard to make sure we're doing everything we can to minimize the impact of our product on the environment. The bamboo fiber we use is a regenerated cellulose fiber - made from natural organic bamboo by a high-tech process that is non-polluting to the environment during production.

The main chemical used during our process is sodium hydroxide, most commonly known as caustic soda. Other bamboo fabric is usually processed with carbon disulfide, a toxic chemical which is a known environmental hazard. The chemical we use, sodium hydroxide, is neutralized in the environment by carbon dioxide, therefore it is not a risk to our aquatic environments or the air we breathe. You can confidently enjoy nature in your Free Fly Apparel!
